One Down

Dear Mak,

This is me being in your face   making up for that journal i never got around to doing still documenting your first date with the tooth fairy.

This is you wiggling your loose tooth like crazy.

This is you munching on that crispy Fuji apple because mommy was too chicken to yank it out.

That is Tato in the background writing the tooth fairy for you, thinking of the bucks the tooth fairy was supposed to fork over even while that tooth was still hanging on for dear life. What a great business manager. He's got your back, Mak.

Thank god for apples. For brave boys.

And for irresistible toothless grins.

OMG wow!!! What a super brave boy! Congratulations, Mak! Your toothless grin is the cutest and the most precious thing! I hope the Tooth Fairy brings you some goodies under your pillow!

Dear Nana, I understand you SO much! You know those stories about irrational fears? I always had a phobic fear about going to the dentist. (Don't know why, my dentist is very good. And I go there every year for a simple scaling.) When I was little and that my baby teeth were moving, I couldn’t touch them. My mom or my grandma were always the ones who ended up taking them off, because I was too scared to do it myself. And I really don't know HOW I'll help my own daughter with hers!

Thanks, Cely! Yes, tooth fairy came and left a little something under his pillow. Biting into apples and carrots can apparently do the trick for us!

Yup, Nona. Just in time!
