Happy Weekend

Thanks Tashie's folks! I love the song... and the video is Clever-Creative and Crazy-Comical with the capital C. OK Go (love them, btw) really does great videos, but this new one you sent my way even tops their classic, legendary treadmill shenanigans. Let's share it right here to make a few more people -- and kids -- smile....

Bear watched it five times tonight eating up some book reading time... tsk tsk tsk. But justified by, "kids this is a Rube Goldberg Machine (RGM) or in Japan they'd call it a Pythagoras switch. See, physics and engineering can be fun?" Haha... happy weekend!

Nona, today is International Women's Day and I loved reading your post and celebrating your girl right along with you. Women are the tipping point, empower them and you change the future of their families and of generations to follow. It's the key to equality in the world, and genuine progress.

Incidentally, I'm in a charity production of TVM here in NY and one of the beneficiaries is a group that advocates the rights of Comfort Women seeking an apology and a form of justice from the Japanese. This was not too far away in our history, is it? We honor them, and all the grandmothers and mothers who pave the way for ourselves and for our girls. Someday in the future, girls all over the world will feel their power the way your little princess does. Hopefully, we will live to see that tipping point...

Yes, apparently today IS Women's Day. More Girl Power to your TVM production! Though I know you have a lot of that in you already : )

Holy! No cuts! I wonder how many takes it took.

Barn, all l know is it took 3 months to set up the RGM with the help of "geek friends" from Synn Labs (creative, playful engineers from NASA and MIT). Watched the video over and over again to look for a cut... can't find it!
